Style Funday: Issa Live Photoshoot

I recently had the pleasure of spending a Sunday Funday styling two amazing models during a live photoshoot for Elana Harford, a Philadelphia-based modeling agency.  The shoot location was Sip & Dry bar, a chic hair salon with a full-service bar on-site, and background music was provided by DJ Soniq. Super cute spot, super beautiful models, super talented MUAs, super soulful music, and I was super excited to be included as the Stylist on Set. What a great opportunity for your favorite Chief Fashionista!
What a happy Stylist looks like! Sade shirt is by Zara, black mesh skirt is from Taylor Nicole Boutique

Me and the models.

Styling isn't all glamorous - I spent most of the shoot running to pull looks...in heels

The photoshoot was "live" because it was open to the public to observe.  Guests were also given an opportunity to shop with local fashion boutique, Beyond the Velvet Rope (BVR), who brought in fall fashion sweaters and outerwear.  BVR also provided pieces for the models to wear in a few shots (thanks BVR!)

Below are some of my favorite looks on the models and the deets on what they wore.

Model Shelena wears an on trend animal print fur bomber jacket with a vegan leather midi length skirt
both available from BVR Boutique

Girl Fight! Model Shelena wears lace up ankle boots and an olive green army jacket with patch and decal details with cutoff jean shorts and a sheer bodysuit. Model Emmanuelle wears distressed denim overalls with over the knee suede boots and thigh high athletic socks. Her look is topped by a fringed faux fur vest.

This fall fashionable  burgundy hat made a repeat appearance for 2 different looks. Emmanuelle wears a striped sweater dress available at BVR Boutique with sheer gray ankle socks and heeled moto boots.  Shelena wears a gold sweater dress with a faux fur jacket and gladiator sandals.

A more sophisticated side was shown with the looks above.  All pieces stylist's and models' own.

What I found most interesting and different about this shoot was that it took place in front of an audience. We were able to create photographic scenes using the attendees which really gave the shoot a live feel versus the staged feel of a studio shoot. The entire vibe inspired my creativity and helped me to create a few successful fashion looks on the fly.

I can't wait to do this again on a larger scale in the Spring of 2018!!
