Another eLevated Style Slay at Great Day!

I recently had the pleasure of paying another visit to the the WUSA9 Great Day Washington set (special thanks to Super Producer Nayada Cowhered!) to talk about Shoe Trends for Fall 2018.  There's nothing I like to talk about as much as a badass pair of shoes - I had so much fun showing off what to wear when the temperatures drop, that I talked right through the end of the segment!

Scroll down to read more about the shoes I picked. Grab these styles while you can - they are 🔥 and they won't last!

1    Animal print was all over the Fall Fashion runways. Don't just think fur - animal print includes reptile patterns as well. Check out these Cheetah print mules from designer Vince Camuto’s line, Louise et Cie. With the added style detail of the big bow, these are a fashion steal at $130.

2    Speaking of bows, Bow Details are a huge trend and are not just for girly girls to wear to black-tie affairs.  This fall, wear your best bows in the daytime to easily elevate a pair of jeans into high fashion. These classic black suede pumps are embellished by big bows in the iconic Gucci green and red colors - the bows are removable but why would you ever want to take them off?!?!?

Combat Boots are one of my favorite fall trends for 2018. Doc Martens will always be the classic version but the more modern combat boots have a relaxed urban feel that can be worn with denim jeans, leather or a girly babydoll skirt.  Gucci does it again, giving us couture combat for Fall into Winter.

Chunky “dad” tennis shoes/ trainers aren’t leaving the fashion scene anytime soon. The soles are getting thicker, and also staying in line with the retro trends of fall, many of the ones you will see are in bright neon colors or have sparkle.  Ones like these from Zara, priced at $70, are a relatively cheap way to try the trend.  And they are also in line with the transparency trend of fall.

5    While White Shoes have never been a personal style favorite of mine, they are definitely a popular style trend for fall 2018.  My bias aside, white blends beautifully with neutral outfits while still giving a retro Andy Warhol-ish feel. White shoes let you seamlessly transition your summer looks into fall. And it looks really hot with all black.  These booties by Marc Fisher also incorporate another fall trend with their modern nod to western cowboy boots.
