I really enjoy finding interesting places to take pictures for my #stylediary posts. Some people like clean backgrounds, but I love a vibrant and fun setting. It makes the style looks I create pop even more! After spending a wonderful Sunday afternoon joining several phenomenal female entrepreneurs as a guest panelist (see the blogpost about that event here), I decided to explore the U Street and Shaw neighborhoods. Shaw is where I found the Watermelon House.
The Watermelon House is a small rowhouse at 1112 Q St NW that has it's own hashtag #watermelonhouse and website. Most people take photos in front of the watermelon mural while jumping in the air - I had on heels so I wasn't doing that lol!
